A Thoughtful, Grounded Approach to Psychotherapy

I believe therapy is both an art and a science. The science provides us with evidence-based knowledge, therapeutic approaches, and tools for understanding human behaviour and creating meaningful change. The art lies in understanding the unique person sitting in front of me—knowing when to listen, when to ask a deeper question, when to offer support, and when to gently challenge patterns that may no longer be serving them.

As a therapist, I bring a warm, supportive, and collaborative approach to my work. I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit into one particular therapeutic model. My background includes mindfulness-based approaches, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, allowing me to draw from different perspectives depending on each client’s needs, goals, and circumstances.

I work with both short-term and longer-term therapy. Some clients come to therapy with a specific concern they would like to address, while others are looking for a space to explore deeper patterns, relationships, life experiences, identity, or personal growth over time. There is no single right way to engage in therapy.

My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and understood, while also helping them develop greater clarity, insight, and practical ways to move forward. I see therapy as a collaborative process, one that honours where you have been, recognizes the strengths and resources you already carry, and supports you in creating meaningful change in your life.

How I Work

My approach is integrative and evidence-informed, drawing from:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
