A Thoughtful, Grounded Approach to Psychotherapy

My practice is designed for individuals who value depth, discretion, and professional integrity. I work with clients who are motivated to engage in meaningful, ongoing psychotherapy rather than short-term or surface-level support.

Therapy with me is structured, collaborative, and paced with care, supporting insight, emotional regulation, and sustainable change over time.

How I Work

My approach is integrative and evidence-informed, drawing from:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness-based approaches

  • Existential-based approaches

  • Relational psychotherapy

  • Compassion-focused frameworks

  • Narrative

  • DBT

  • Solution Focused

  • Trauma informed

  • Health & Wellness Coaching

Sessions are attentive and intentional, offering both containment and flexibility. We regularly review goals and progress so that therapy remains responsive and aligned with your needs.

I do not offer guarantees or quick fixes. Instead, I provide consistent, skilled support within a secure therapeutic relationship.

What is Therapy?

Therapy is not always easily described. It varies depending on the personalities of the therapist and the client and the particular problems brought to each session. Therapy calls for a very active effort on your part. In order for therapy to be successful, you will have to work on things we talk about both during our sessions and at home.

Therapy can have benefits and risks. Since therapy often involves discussing unpleasant aspects of our life, you may experience uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness and helplessness.

On the other hand, therapy has been shown to have benefits for people who go through it. Therapy can lead to better relationships, learning new ways to cope with or solve problems, developing of new skills, and significant reduction in feelings of distress, changing unwanted behaviours, and improved self-esteem.

Therapy is a process of personal exploration and may lead to major changes in your life perspectives and decisions.

How it works

Our first few sessions will likely involve an evaluation of your needs either in person or online. By the end of the evaluation, I will be able to offer some ideas of what our work will include along with a treatment plan if you decide to continue with therapy.

It is important for you to evaluate this information along with your own opinions of whether you feel comfortable working with me. Therapy involves a large commitment of time, money and energy. If you have any questions about my procedures, we can discuss them whenever they arise.

About the space

I value creating a comforting and safe environment for my clients. The therapy space is designed to provide a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere where individuals can feel at ease when seeking support and guidance. The decor is carefully chosen to promote a sense of tranquility and solace, with soft lighting, comfortable seating, and soothing colours to help clients feel relaxed and secure during their sessions. This environment is crucial in establishing a strong therapeutic alliance and facilitating open communication.

I understand the vulnerability that comes with seeking psychotherapy, and my goal is to create a space where individuals feel validated, heard, and understood. Clients can rest assured that they will be met with compassion and respect as they embark on their personal journey towards healing and growth.
